Usually I don't go for these survey-type things but I thought that I would add this information that I got in an email.

I would only take the survey if I knew I was getting the $100 VISA card. Otherwise, it is a waste of time and future attempts would only cause people to trash such emails. There needs to be some type of verification of getting the money. Perhaps a phone call to legitimize the business offering the survey, proof of the company's existence.

I took a brief glance at the survey myself but just didn't want to do it. Goodness knows that I could use $100 but I still didn't do it though.
That's simply amazing. Two people responded to this "A Smoker's Blog" from back in 2008, and both today. I also got my Email today.
The gotcha is where they say "complete the participation requirements." Not me.

I am pretty sure this is a data-miner intended to set you up for tons o' spam. It's not much of a questionnaire, for one thing. What use is the information in such a limited poll??
How exactly is one to collect the $100? Do you have to give youe credit card number to recive the credit? I'm not doing THAT!

The Consumer Tobacco National Survey (CTNS) is a consumer and non consumer based paid survey. The CTNS surveillance system is intended to enhance the capacity of countries to design, implement, and evaluate tobacco control and prevention programs. Logistics and assistance for the CTNS has been provided by the Canadian Public Health Association, National Cancer Institute, United Nations Children Emergency Fund, and the World Health Organization. This is a paid survey. You get paid for giving us a comprehensive and unbiased reports on the consumption of tobacco across the United States. Email us for more details.

It's still something that I don't take too much stock in. I doubt that I would participate in it at all.
